TV One's popular cooking series Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin is back for a new season that promises to be even more entertaining than the last.

Since the launch of the show, G. Garvin has been invited to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and to The White House as a guest of the President and First Lady. He has also written a "Turn Up the Heat" cookbook featuring more than 200 of his signature "super simple" recipes.

As high profile positions go, G. Garvin has held many -- with the Ritz-Carlton, as executive chef at Morton's, Kass Bah and Reign (a Beverly Hills restaurant owned by NFL player Keyshawn Johnson). He was also co-owner and executive chef of G. Garvin's restaurant in Los Angeles, which is now closed. But Garvin's high end flavors and experience don't come with a stuffy attitude - as Garvin himself likes to say, he's just "your boy holding it down in the kitchen."

It's delicious, it's relaxed and most of all, it's G. Garvin just doing his thing.

Whether you're cooking for the family or planning a special occasion, G. Garvin invites you into his kitchen to learn recipes that are easy and delectable. From "One Pot Meals" to "Healthy Soul," Garvin goes back to his roots and prepares meals we all grew up eating at home. These traditional dishes, packed with his personal flavor, offer non-traditional substitutes and preparation methods so viewers can personalize their own creations as they follow along.

With his principle of stripping down recipes to their bare essentials, G. Garvin will show you how to cook for family and friends with maximum flavor and minimal effort - its "super simple" cooking at its finest. Spend a half-hour with famed chef G. Garvin and learn to turn your everyday meals into a culinary experience.
