George Willborn, a.k.a. the Stress Reliever, hails from the Southside/Westside of Chicago. Even though he has been a standup comedian for more than 19 years, this radio personality, actor, loving husband and father doesn't want to be a star! Why not?
Willborn says it's because, the word "star" spelled backwards is "rats" and
while he'll take the money and the fame, he keeps it way too real to become the
next victim of stardom. Since his first appearance on stage in 1987, Willborn
has used cutting-edge humor to bring laughter to the masses and he is known
for telling the truth about what's funny.
Willborn started out as
the host of Chicago's All Jokes Aside comedy club back in 1992 and since then
has appeared on Def Comedy Jam, Def Comedy All Stars, Showtime at the Apollo,
Comedy Central's Comic Justice and BET's Comic View.
In addition to being voted the first grand prize winner of
Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes ?, he's also hosted radio programs in both
Washington, D.C. and Chicago.
