Good News is a half-hour comedy series that boasts gospel music with an R&B flair. When the youthful Pastor David Randolph replaces the Church of Life's beloved founding father, the congregation sings everything but his praises.
Minutes after his arrival, the church staff leaves in protest- all, except Vera, the kind-hearted church secretary. With her help and that of a few devotees, Pastor Randolph tries to settle into the role of leader of the church. Now, he must attempt to resolve some hilarious social predicaments that aren't exactly answered in the good book.
Roz Ryan from Amen, also stars as the opinionated Mrs. Dixon, an influential member of the congregation who moonlights as the church cook.
Complementing the congregation are several unique soul-searchers: Tracey Cherelle Jones as Cassie, the Church of Life's most talkative youth group member and Guy Torry stars as Little T, slang-talking choir member and church porter.
Alexia Robinson stars as sultry Mona Phillips, the church youth director who vies for the attention of the single, but preoccupied Paster Randolph.
