Oscar’s Barber Shop, located in a middle-class Black neighborhood in Washington, D.C., is the gathering place for the That’s My Mama gang.
Twenty-something year old Clifton Curtis is enjoying the life of a successful bachelor—that is until his mother, Mama Curtis adds her two cents. “Mama” is looking for her son to settle down and find a nice wife, after all who else is going to help take care of the family barber shop that Clifton inherited from his father.
