Dayton Ohio Group, FAZE-O. They had a song that was sampled many times over. It started EPMD ( please listen to my Demo ) to Kriss Kross ( Tonight ) to ICE CUBE to Ghostface Killah lipstick to Movies like Friday. Remember a song called Riding High ? ? That was the best slow mellow groove of all time. The man behind that song Keith Harrison tells a great story and was involved with many groups, Faze-O Heatwave,Dazz,Band and more..Faze-O was the first to have the Village People look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u7FOG1uk Vg

It's great to have this forum to post about the best series on TV One. First off, let me say that "I'd Still Say Yes" feat. Howard Hewett is my all-time favorite Klymaxx song. Secondly, I LOVE Lorena "Lungs" Stewarrt, Bernadette and "Fendy." I really hope that Lorena isn't in the group due to bad blood. I was really drawn to her sweet and motherly spirit on VH1's Bands Reunited a couple of years ago. Hopefully, she just preferred to be there for her husband and children. I can't wait to see this special tomorrow night.

Sorry, Smack u silly get your facts straight before you participate! Klymaxx was under the Solar banner when they had their first hit with two or rthree more hits to follow before the moved over to Constellation, MCA records. Also all of their songs charted on the pop charts most Imporantly "I Miss You" which was a #2 pop hit. Therefore they are a Pop/R&B artist. After they went to Constellation records they had three more hits "Divas Need Love Too" "Sexy" and "Id still say yes" What other girl band do you know has left a lasting Impression like Klymaxx has? What other Girl band did Saturday Night and Halle Berry Live Parody? What other girl band wrote and produced their own material and went on to do the same for others...give them their props and stop hatin. Knowing the facts are important for a healthy, Intelligent debate.

actually, klymaxx was only revolutionary for r&b. they were signed to a major label in 1981, switched a couple of years later, and had their first hit in 1985. joan jett started an 'all girl band' in the 1970s and had 'i love rock and roll' be a #3 hit in 1982. the 'go go' also had a top ten hit with 'we got the beat' in 1982.

This is an honor for KLYMAXX to be recognized and appreciated for our accomplishment. Klymaxx was revolutionary in starting an all female band, developing our own sound and creating an all out assault on changing womens perceptions about themselves. Self love has always been the message. Unfortunately no one has been able to accomplish what we have since our departure. Like most families we have our issues and hopefully the main ones will be resolved soon. However If you put most of us In a room together it would be nothing but love. My main goal is to keep others from damaging our leagacy and to keep' the message alive..period! Let's refrain from negative comments because we always represented the positive. New music will be out next year and we look forward to bringing you more Divalicious music. Bernadette Cooper myspace.com/therealklymaxx

It would be so refreshing to see an Unsung about Tammie Terrell. She was as fascinating as Phyllis Hyman and Minnie Riperton. Oh by the way, the Minnie Riperton was right on time airing 30yrs. after her demise. I enjoyed her story the most. Keep them coming!

I can't wait to see the show, Bernadette goes to my church Agape. I see her but never approached her. We have to respect her and all the girls for what they have accomplished. She just so happens to be the creator of the group and the personality and unfortunately there is always one person the public connects with more. The other girls should understand this by now. Let's just celebrate their existence and not bicker and hopefully their legacy will not be tainted by the other members tribute band.

If I understand it right, Bernadette Cooper came up with the concept of an all-girl band and founded the band from scratch, she auditioned the musicians, and created the name. She started getting a lot of press and yes, in bands, there is one person that always becomes bigger than the band itself. That was Bernadette. Bernadette Cooper is one of the strongest most creative female artists out there. Hope to see more of her work!

I beg to differ Bernadette Is not bigger then the group she Is the founder and focal point of the group. Now you can sweep it up under the rug and try to act like it ain't so but the reality is if you don't see Bernadette it ain't real. Like the Jacksons without Michael, Like the Commodores without Lionel, Like the Supremes without Diana. As far as the Cheryl girl using the name and starting another group she will only be excepted in her own mind. She is a embarrassment to their legacy. Also on the show vh1 did she said she would stop..she didn't shows she is a liar. Anyway I love Klymaxx and sorry folks I do love the original member but let's face the facts it's all about Bernadette Cooper

i saw VH-1's "When Bands Reunite" and they did Klymaxx. With all the backstabbing and ego-trippin goinz on, chances on a FULL reunion seemed like slim to none - AND SLIM IS OUTTA TOWN. but they all were some gifted ladies. i just wish they would ALL swallow their pride. NO ONE PERSON IS BIGGER THAN THE BAND ITSELF. (ask David Ruffin)...to cindy: if i am not mistaken, i think your sister went to the same church i did in Moreno Valley, CA.

Any chance of a reunion tour. Klymaxx set the standard and the attitude. I always thought they should continue performing as a group. That's alot of talented and beautiful sisters on one stage.

I am proud to say my sister Lorena was in Klymaxx I really miss all of the girls they are true legends and opened the door for many female groups of today. There will never be another group like the original ladies of Klymaxx. Thanks t.v. one for bringing this series (UNSUNG) to the attention of us all and giving attention to this much loved group.
